This is the privacy policy for Cashor, operated by Cashor, Inc. It covers the cashor.app marketing site and the app.cashor.app product.
What this covers
How we handle the data of two groups of people: the tradies who run their business on Cashor, and the customers those tradies serve.
What we collect when you sign up
- Phone number. Used to text you a one-time code when you sign in. We do not use passwords.
- Business name and owner name. Displayed on the quotes and invoices you send, and on the business phone line we provision for you.
- Optional details. Email address and business address, if you choose to add them.
What we collect when you use the app
- The customer contacts you add (names, phone numbers, addresses).
- Jobs you schedule, including times, locations, and notes.
- Quotes and invoices you create, including line items and totals.
- Payments you record (Zelle, cash, Venmo, check, card, Stripe pay link).
- Messages you send through your Cashor business line.
- Your service area, hourly rate, and your Assistant settings.
What we don't collect
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not share data with social-media pixels. We use a product-analytics tool and a crash-reporting tool to keep Cashor working, and both are configured to redact sensitive content: phone numbers, email bodies, and customer names are scrubbed before they leave your device.
Who we share it with
To operate Cashor we rely on a small set of subprocessors. We list them by category, not brand:
- A payments provider, to power the Stripe pay link on invoices and the financial connections we use to route money.
- An SMS and voice carrier, to deliver your one-time login code and to route your business phone line.
- A transactional email provider, to send quotes, invoices, and receipts on your behalf.
- A cloud database host, to store your account data.
- An error monitoring service, to alert us when something breaks in the app.
- A product analytics service, to understand which screens get used and where the app gets stuck.
Every subprocessor signs a data-processing agreement. We only share the minimum data each one needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
While your Cashor account is active we keep your data so the app keeps working. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. We hold a few records longer when the law requires it: tax records, payment dispute records, and similar compliance records can be kept for up to seven years.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct something that's wrong, or ask us to delete your account. Email privacy@cashor.app and we will reply within 30 days.
The customers you serve
The customer contacts you put into Cashor are your data. We process them on your behalf, the same way a notebook in your truck would hold them. When your customer receives a quote at /quote/:token or pays an invoice at /pay/:invoiceToken, the page is shown under your business name. The privacy commitment to that customer is yours by default. If you'd like a co-branded privacy notice on those pages, write to us and we'll help.
California rights (CCPA)
If you live in California you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email privacy@cashor.app.
European rights (GDPR)
Cashor, Inc. is a US company. If you're in the EU or UK you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. Our lawful basis for processing is either the contract you have with us (running your Cashor account) or our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working. Email privacy@cashor.app to exercise any of these rights.
Cookies
We use one small session cookie, named __Host-sid, to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to remember your language preference. That's it.
Children
Cashor is built for adults running a business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
SMS and communications consent
Program name. Cashor. Operator Messaging.
What messages you will receive. After you submit your mobile phone number and provide consent during sign-up or sign-in, Cashor may send the following SMS messages to the number you provided:
- Account security messages, including one-time passcodes (OTP) for login and identity verification.
- Service notifications, including alerts when a customer calls or texts one of your operator phone numbers, voicemail transcripts, and status updates on invoices, payments, bookings, and payouts.
- Automated assistant replies. If you have enabled the automated text assistant on your Cashor Pro plan, Cashor will send automated replies on your behalf to customers who text your operator phone number. You control whether replies are drafted, reviewed, or sent automatically from the assistant settings page.
- Operational updates about your account, billing, and platform availability, including service incidents and scheduled maintenance.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on usage. Typical active operators receive 5 to 50 messages per month from Cashor directly, plus assistant replies sent on their behalf.
Msg & data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to every message Cashor sends or receives on your behalf. Cashor does not charge a per-message fee, but your carrier may.
How to opt out (STOP). Reply STOP to any Cashor message to opt out of non-critical messages. You will receive one confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out, and no further non-critical messages will be sent. Opting out of security one-time-passcode messages will prevent login on that account; OTP delivery continues for that purpose.
How to get help (HELP). Reply HELP to any message for a short reply with a link to these terms and a contact email for human support, or email support@cashor.app.
Supported carriers. The Cashor messaging program works with all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Cricket, Google Fi, and most MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Authorization. By providing your mobile number and consenting during sign-up, you (a) confirm that you are the authorized subscriber of that mobile number or that you have the subscriber's permission to use it for Cashor, (b) consent to receive the messages described above, and (c) acknowledge that consent to receive automated messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Cashor.
No third-party sharing for marketing. Cashor will not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in status with any third party for marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the telephony infrastructure providers required to deliver your messages and with law enforcement where required.
